About the Author
Jack Hemphill grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina where he still practices architecture.
He is a graduate of Clemson University, served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Corps
of Engineers in Vietnam, and managed to paint and exhibit his art work throughout his
architectural career. His writing inspiration stems from many personal experiences in his
life and the artistic observation that comes with being a creative person in viewing the world around him. Jack and his wife, Barbara, have been married forty-six years and have three adult children.
